Bidrage med feedbackWe enjoyed some delicious and flavorful dishes at this restaurant, but found the prices to be a bit higher than other options in the area. We opted for take-out and were impressed with the quick 15-minute cook time and how well the food traveled.
We had ate here before, but it had changed hands. We were disappointed in the quality of the food, and it really didn't have alot of flavour. We ordered take out, so I can't comment on the service. We will not be returning.
Thought I would give it a try again. Ordered and paid for war wonton soup. Picked it up and it did not even have a green onion in it's broth( watery tasteless ). Opened the chicken chowmein to find full of noodles, two pieces of chicken, one small shredded carrot ( and that's being generous), not all the noodles even had sauce. For those that have great meals, I am jealous as we have yet to experience this and we have tried.
When this restaurant first replaced the previous one in the space it was decent, not as good as Shanghai, but passable. Fast-forward a few months and it's amazing how fast things can change. My teenagers ate in at the buffet for a work party and both complained that the only decent thing on the buffet was the roast, the rest was horrible. My kids eat anything, they are not picky, so I know if they're complaining it means something. Against our better judgment we spent almost $100 ordering for take out on Christmas Eve, our usual Christmas Eve tradition and since they're the only place in town for Chinese food we opted to give them another chance. BIG mistake. It was AWFUL! Every single dish was gross. Some of the Ginger Beef, Ginger Chicken, and Salt and Pepper Chicken had no meat at all, they were chunks of batter. Hard to mess up rice, but even the rice was awful. We were all lucky enough to spend Christmas Day with upset stomachs after eating it.We have eaten Chinese food in many restaurants in various places in both Canada and the US, and this was the only time we have been so disgusted and felt ill after eating it. I would rather drive to the city and eat Chinese food at a mall food court than ever consider this place again. It saddens me because I hate to see Claresholm minus another restaurant option when our choices are already so dismal, but I don't wish this food on anyone.
In February 2017, I regret to say that this restaurant quickly deteriorated.
