Shanghai Soiree - Clarence

Loved loved Shanghai Soiree! Bought food from Tang ????????☹️ Not going back!!! My fav dish Mapo Tofu N/A!! Fried rice not Chinese! All sooo overpriced!!

This restaurant is undergoing a change of management. (possibly not the only one recently?). The menu has reduced since our visit a few years ago. Whilst the dish presentation is very attractive, the contents are bland, and rarely more than lukewarm. The music playing consists of only one (nice) track, played on repeat.

The meals we ordered were vastly different to what we expected - I.e sweet and sour pork nothing like traditional sweet and sour. Staff were nice but - never came back for subsequent drink orders, no water was provided despite water glasses on table, one dish from order was missing and then another item was misheard and wrong item provided. Overall it was fine but wouldn't bother going back

Food was very bland!!! Rice was undercooked and the sushi was disgusting!!! Never going back again!!!

Nice eating. beautiful staff, would definitely recommend
