La Ponderosa - Ciudad Cortes

I've been in Ponderosa for many years. Last year or so it was operated by a well-known local restaurant. Friendly staff and usually it is a family member of the operator. Large parts. The rice dishes are a great value as the portions are large. There is also a bar so that not all local restaurants have a liqueur license.

Nice bar/restaurant with cabinas in the back that have A/C and a pool. I ordered a pineapple natural juice with steak casado and amazing mashed potatoes! Good food, fun place to spend the day with the family.

Beautiful fresh Comida typical prepared by friendly chef Frederico. The patacones (smashed fried plantain) are fantastic!
