I went to this little Japanese Hawaiian restaurant called Ohana the other day in Daniella Plaza with my wife and kids. Apparently, Ohana means family in Hawaiian, and this takeaway restaurant certainly felt like a family friendly place. I just had a craving for some good Japanese food, and this place had great ratings online. It is small inside, just a takeout counter, but everything was super clean and orderly. We got 4 bento boxes veggie tempura and veggie croquettes. The tempura was perfectly crispy, and the croquettes were crispy outside and soft on the inside and flavorful. The salad was fresh and crisp, the rice was cooked perfectly, and the spring roll was light and flavorful. They had a little self serve station with utensils and wasabi packets. I loaded up on that wasabi! I love that spicy kick it gives the tempura. One small letdown was that the bento boxes did not include pickled ginger, which I had to purchase separately. However, this was negligible considering how delicious the food was. Overall, I highly recommend Ohana Japanese Hawaiian Restaurant. The food is delicious, fresh, and authentic. The service is friendly and efficient. I will definitely be back next time I 'm craving some quality Japanese food.
