Taqueria El Gallo Azteca was truly a highlight of our dining experience in New York. The food was incredibly delicious, exceeding all of our expectations. The owner's friendly and welcoming attitude made us feel at home, enhancing the overall experience. The tacos were absolutely amazing. Among all the places we dined at in New York, this is the one we would definitely want to visit again. If you’re looking for outstanding Mexican cuisine, this restaurant is a must-visit.

Best taco spot on Staten Island. Their green sauce is amazing. Highly reccomend it if you like real mexican food.

Very good food, the Azteca tacos are very delicious, only if you order delivery you have to wait about an hour but I recommend it

The menu features only tacos, tortas, and quesadillas—no rice or side dishes, keeping it simple. Unfortunately, the chicken was overcooked and dry, while the steak was just average.

I've been dining here since 2004, and the food is consistently delicious. If you're looking for an authentic taste of Mexico's tacos, this is the best spot on this side of the island. Don’t expect a fancy welcome; this place can get quite busy depending on the time of day, so the staff may not have time to go over the menu in detail. If you choose to eat inside the taco spot, note that there's no waiter or hostess—just place your order at the front, enjoy your meal, and pay when you're done.
