Majestic Deli - City of New York

The food was decent, but the prices are high and the service was terrible. I asked one of the employees behind the counter for a recommendation between a couple menu items. He said it didn’t matter because I was going to eat whatever I wanted anyway, so just order something. That sort of startled me especially with several cooks standing near by watching this play out. So I jokingly asked, you don’t have a favorite? He said I won’t eat here. So based on their own recommendation, I would not suggest you eat here either.

Super disappointed with this cafe. The workers were very rude, especially in front of two ladies who were working in the registers. They act like they paid for my food. They made the wrong food for me and when I said it was not my food, they were angry and said something in Spanish that I didn’t understand. And they have a nasty attitude towards foreigners and local people. I suggest the owner staying 1 hour in the store without notifying your workers, then you can see how they talk to people.

Excellent pastrami sandwich, everyone else loved their Reubens, and the cheesecake was fantastic. Will definitely return.
