Bidrage med feedbackI have been here twice. The facilities are nice and relaxing and I think $79 is a good deal for a spa in Manhattan. However, on June 11 2023 I was here was with my mom and mother-in-law the day before my wedding. My mother-in-law contracted pseudomonas aeruginosa (hot tub folliculitis) from the spa. She has been in a lot of pain and fighting the infection for weeks. Their water is contaminated with bacteria and viruses. They need to drain the spa immediately and clean everything. Here are photos of us at the spa just to prove we were patrons in case the spa tries to dispute this review with google.
Best masseuses around! Great amenities (sauna, warm and cold pools). I have never had a bad massage here!
This was my second experience at this spa for a Swedish massage. Adam is an absolute angel. He's so warm, and genuinely cares about his work and clients. It's very rare for me to feel safe and comfortable, and I can't wait to go back to see him.
I was not impressed with my experience at Great Jones. This was my second time here, and it was very much a let down from my first time there. Last year when I went for the first time, someone came to the pool area/sauna to retrieve myself and my guest for our massages while we were able to enjoy the amenities without worrying about what time it was. This time around, I was not informed that no one would come for us and we had to go to the second floor to meet our masseuses. That ended up knocking time off of our massages. Not only that, but the masseuses for myself and my guest were unimpressive. I’m not sure I will return as my money went to waste this time around. The spa all around is clean and very nice in appearance. My favorite area is the steam room. My least favorite area is the pool area because it is quite small, which can make you feel like you’re on top of other guests and don’t have much privacy or space.
Pretty, aesthetic space but very small. Expected, given that it is in the SoHo area. Found out about this spot when the day pass was $56. However, price increased to $70 for 2 hours). Compared to other day spas in the city, it is slightly cheaper. However, the communal space is small: one steam room ~117 degrees) one sauna room ~177 degrees), one cold tub, one hot tub. As for the women's locker/shower room, it was also very small: two shower stalls and two bathroom stalls. A bunch of lockers were confined in a space that was approximately 10 ft x 5 ft. Although the space was very small, I must say that they kept up with cleaning up very well. They also kept amenities fully stocked: a fully-stocked tea selection, snacks in wax paper bags pita chip, walnuts, almonds, veggie straws, and dried cranberries), clementines, and hershey's nugget chocolates. Was nice visiting but I can't for-see myself dropping by just for the day spa again.
