Charles Pizzeria - City of New York

I spent my younger years, living across the street from this pizzeria, which was probably the best in Sunset Park. Things have changed over the years, I don't think it's still the greatest, but it's still decent. While attending the Fifth Avenue Fair, I wanted to get my daughter a slice. I noticed the price is now $3 bucks for a slice. They have ample outside seating, which is perfect for a nice day. The staff was cool and cordial. I just wish the quality was the same as the late 90s and early 2000s, when I was growing up.

Too small a slice for $3.25. Good combination of cheese and sauce.Acceptable flavor overall, but the sauce is weak. Needs more spices. Oregano, basil, sweet peppers, something....I rate it an 82 (4.1 Stars).

Still one of the best Pizza joints in Sunset. I've been going here since I was young, my kids have gone here and many years later I'm still coming here.

I love the pizza here. It 's freshly made here, unlike other places. There 's more than enough space here, so feel free to bring lots of people with you here. The workers here are kind, and you can even see one employee (how do I say it... 'throwing ' the dough into the air, when making the pizza. Overall, this place has good employees, great pizza, and lots of space. I would recommend this place.
