Amy's Bread - City of New York

The bread is delicious. Hard and crusty on the outside and nice and chewy on the inside. The service is okay. The other baked goods are very delcious. They offer a selection of sandwiches. Love the coffee. Moderately priced.

The cake was pleasantly less sweet than I expected, which was a nice surprise. I definitely want to return and sample some of the other cakes.

Amy's Bread never fails to deliver quality. I particularly enjoy the sourdough olive loaf, and their ready-made sandwiches are excellent. However, you definitely shouldn't leave without trying some dessert. I always grab a few cookies, and they never let me down!

The bread is absolutely delicious, and the pastries are quite good (the scones are delightful). However, the cakes and brownies can be a bit too sugary. The service can be inconsistent; at times, it’s kind, helpful, and enthusiastic, but other times it feels nearly incompetent or even rude. It seems like the restaurant is often a training ground for staff, which isn’t a problem, but it would be better if only one trainee was on duty at a time. Also, it would be great if new staff could be taught to say "thank you!"
