A Gusto Thai Bistro - City of New York

This restaurant has a wonderful ambiance with a cozy seating area and a charming accent wall upon entering. Unfortunately, the host wasn’t very welcoming; she was straightforward and efficient with seating but then instructed us to scan the menu on our own. After we placed our order, the food arrived quickly and was quite good. We enjoyed edamame, some disappointing noodles with shrimp, fried rice, iced tea, and a hibiscus latte. Shortly after we started eating, the server informed us that they would be closing in 10 minutes, which would be at 5 PM, and then walked away.

This is an excellent Thai bistro with amazing food and a lovely backyard. Please note there is a pet bunny that has free roam of the backyard that was not advertised beforehand. Although the bunny is adorable and friendly, we brought our dog thinking there would only be other dogs. Please be aware of the bunny in case you have a dog or allergies while dining.

The best Thai food I've had! The staff were incredibly friendly, and dining in the backyard was a lovely experience. I definitely plan to make this restaurant one of my regular spots!

This was hands down the worst Thai food I've ever encountered. I ordered massaman curry with tofu, but the rice was burnt. The tofu wasn't cut into small pieces; instead, it came in large slabs, and the potatoes had their skins on and were all different colors. This place is a disaster! I really wish I had taken pictures of the spring rolls because they were equally unappetizing.

When we arrived my significant other and I were given the option to sit wherever we wanted so we chose the backyard. To our delight the owners own bunnies and they were gallivanting about the backyard area not causing any harm to us as patrons but it was a nice add on while my SO and I ate our meal. Overall good experience and service SB order the butterfly pea boba tea with oat milk. 10/10.
