Bidrage med feedbackInteresting yet small English restaurant with traditional roast like dinner, sausage mash and steak kidney pie. good choice of wine and beer from the samuel smith brewery. the restaurant looks like it was built in a pre-victorian age, so it is ideal for a first visit in london. the food and drink prices are at the upper end for pub food and the service could have been a bit more friendly. Otherwise, eating is of high quality and is very tasty.
Excellent service in an eccentric but authentic atmosphere. I wish it was good.
A little old london with a whole traditional English fayre. you can imagine that thickens creates his literary characters while eating here. Eat and service are excellent and always a joy for me when I visit. highly recommended
A unique and fasinatng step into the past with little cubby rooms and alcoves, this place has thankfully not been poshed up. Comfy and cosy with a lovely jolly atmosphere and delightful friendly staff. There were regulars there enjoying their roast beef dinners. The food is plain English fair as expected in an old fashioned Chop House, proper big boys meaty nosh with a couple of veggie or fish dishes, first class jam and sponge pud and excellent organic pale ale. #Very satisfying comfort food indeed.
An incredible find. The food was very good and I would recommend their Barnsley Chop. The service staff are great characters and the menu is the best of boys food. The restaurant has amazing character and their wine list is extensive (choice of red or white)!
