Bidrage med feedbackThe restaurant was bustling around 3 pm, but there were still some empty tables available. When I inquired about seating, I was told it was okay to choose any available table. I waited patiently, as did the customers at the table next to me who had arrived before I did. While I understand that a pub may not necessarily offer a warm welcome, some form of acknowledgment from the staff would have been appreciated. After waiting for 17 minutes without any staff in sight, we all decided to leave.
Fabulous staff who recommended excellent local beer. The food was absolutely delicious and the red wine gravy was to die for. It was so good that we ate there twice on our three night stay. The curry pie was amazing!
We had a wonderful and delicious dinner. Chicken and steak mini pies, Fish Chips and Sweet Toffee Pie. You converted my daughter to enjoy pies and fish! Vic, our server was very busy but was attentive, kind and helpful to all the tables he helped. Unfortunately, we did not get a chance to try the Tikka Masala pie , next time.
An old school pub that we happened across for breakfast, and happened to stay in for a fair few hours. The breakfast was tasty and fresh, with the full English going down well. The only gripe was the avocado on toast/bruschetta was an incredibly stingy portion size. A good selection of ales that were worked through, and the staff were friendly and engaging. We nearly ordered some pies, but were still too full from breakfast.
Atmosphere was perfect wood grain London pub feel. Terrific selection of draft ales. Bar food much better than expected. Staff was friendly and helpful. Quick to offer tastes. Was a block from our hotel. We went there 3 times in 2 days!
