Went there after work with friends. Ordered duck,green veg with garlic & crispy pepper chicken.First come green veg , then 5mins comes the duck . We almost finished all in 25mins , ask the waiter we are still waiting for chicken & his reply was NO MORE CHICKEN!! I told him why didn't you let us know ?! His reply was we were busy & he forgot to tell us ! man...! There were only 2 table , 1 with 2 ppl & the other was us 3ppl !! What a Joke!! BTW no Sorry what so ever.
The restaurant was full, packed to the rafters when we got there. BUT to my amazement, the 3 dishes we ordered were served within 10-12 minutes of ordering. Such cooking haste, for me, in a Cantonese style restaurant, is a NO-NO ... meaning that the dishes did not get their fair share of red-hot wok-breath ... and that's how they came out - pretty "beige" and bland! Edible, but nothing to write about. If you want "Fast-Food" Chinese-style .. this is the place for you!
Great roast duck and pippies friendly service too. One of my go to restaurant in Glen Wav very good canto dishes.
If you are looking for ambience and charm, this isn't the place. This is an institution of authentic traditional Chinese food. A quick jump in jump out Duck on rice, Stir fry of ever kind, Roast duck or pork. It's cheap and fast. No frills.
