Knox Tavern - City of Knox

We were very happy with the fast professional service, we both found the meals to be extremely bland. I order the pork with vegetables. The pork was nice, the vegetable just a pile of steamed veg with nothing to give them any oomph as there was no sauce of any kind served with the meal.My husband had the lamb pie which he enjoyed except his chips were cold.

We've been numerous times with our kids, the free kid's birthday meal (available if you join the kids club) is a lovely thought and the staff were great in celebrating with our kids. Food has been fantastic, every meal has been cooked well and tasty.

This was my second visit within weeks. My first time was with 6 grandkids who all had a great time in play area and enjoyed their lunches. Today I went with my daughter and my husband and really enjoyed the hospitality of staff especially Jacob who did an excellent job and was very efficient and friendly. My daughter had Brisket Gnocchi and my husband had Calabrese pasta. They both really enjoyed there meals. I had 2 entrees, yummy arancini balls and dips with Turkish bread. My only complaint was Turkish bread was too hard. Will be back.

Good atmosphere, well presented smart looking place. Went for lunch today with 20 others. Good service, above average food. Standard pricing. Enjoyable

My wife and I both had Roast of the Day in the Bistro, which was Silverside, and whilst OK meals, there was nothing special to comment on. We both had a Lemon, Lime and Bitters. I don't think the girl really knew how to make them, because there was no Lime, and no slice of Lemon. So we were served Lemon Squash with Bitters in it. As this was a second chance, WE WON'T BE BACK
