Bidrage med feedbackI had the pulled Port Sandwich with potato salad baked beans. The sides were good, so was the sandwich. A bit expensive for the taste, but I would still try another dish. The outside seats are so much room for dinner. The staff was polite.
1 friend 48 reviews 5.0 star rating 11/3/2017 We have used Santa Maria BBQ several times for events at work. Since I'm the official party planner here I get the privilege of working with them. I'm not exaggerating when I say privilege. The staff is always so easy to work with and patient. We usually have events for 100+ and we never run out of food, even better we don't usually have a bunch of left overs to deal with (yes you get to keep them). I just called to book our holiday event for this year and they remembered me and our order, talk about customer service! We always opt for the on site cooking so our food is literally hot off the grill!
There are NO BETTER catering concern in Los Angeles as Santa Maria BBQ! If you are a corporate church, members club, corporation, or you just want to entertain family and friends, you cannot go wrong. Prices are competitive for this region and in many cases they are much lower. They also have grilled vegis and can be the most picky or sophisticated palate....
I can't tell you how often I drove past this place, catching a look at the BBQ sign and all excited to find out that they were closed. But instead of leaving them an unnoticed 1-star rating, I made a mental note of their business hours and worn up to a day last week, I realized that I was in the area and it was 3:00. I drove up, found parking on the front street and wish I had seen her menu before I came to the window to order. I was pretty hungry, which is never a good idea, but the woman in the window was very helpful. I wanted baby ribs, but I wanted to try more of what they had, so for the next time I would know what a lot to get. She proposed the trial plate with tri-tip, baby back and chicken. I'm usually not a big chicken fan, but I didn't want to ask to replace something as I know that many places give you a hard eye role, just to think about it. So I went with it and chose the Koleslawin for my side. You know if the Koleslaw is good, the BBQ will be good. She asked if I wanted her regular or spicy BBQ sauce on the side (I like to put the sauce on the side and offer the meat as it was cooked. Many places will drown their meeting in the sauce that might hide what some a little prepared meat might consider. This place was confident in the quality and taste of her meat and let it on you to add more taste on the taste in her meat. I decided to get a little from everyone, because I can't eat super spicy things as I use it. But her spicy sauce was just the right amount of heat and excellent taste. I decided to take my order home, but I pulled the colleague out before I came to the first light. Man! I almost turned around to go back and get more. I wish I had! I finished it before I came home and got a piece of Tri-Tip just before I went to the highway. Oh, man! No sauce and so delicate and tasteful! The ribs were on the spot and I even liked the chicken. I will say I would like the chicken skin to be crispy (I am a great texture person, nothing wrong with the chicken, only my personal preference, but the meat was fantastic. I've been thinking about this place since. Your price points are what you expect and for the quality, they could probably stand to calculate more, I would simply not be able to afford it. I wish BBQ wasn't so expensive, but I'm saving myself for another visit because I'm back. I could even go back earlier, just for the Koleslawin!
The right finding Santa Maria BBQ is hard, and find one with good tri tip is even harder. This is far from the best, but it is certainly sufficient to cook the tri-tip especially properly, but far short of brilliance and in an area with otherwise very little tri-tip, I take it! Ribs and chicken are also not bad, but again nothing about food beats me as something unforgettable.
