The Yard Bar, Restaurant And Venue

We ate here our first night during our trip to Edinburgh, and the ambiance was beautiful and inviting. We were a group of four and were seated in a large comfortable booth. Everyone enjoyed their started and entrees. Our server spilled a drink on my husband but he was incredibly apologetic and accidents happen. It's a great spot for a festive holiday night on the town.

When you're on George Street, this is the type of place you dream about an extravagant, boujee, posh restaurant and bar. It's simple, yet elegant that I would recommend to check out at least once. This is the type of place I imagine all the Instagram influencers hanging out at a touch of LA and NY. Anyways, I came by with some friends for a drink. I went for an Old Fashioned £10), which was typical. While the place is gorgeous, it was also crowded and took way too long to get a drink. We were left hanging around a ledge since there was nowhere to sit at all. The space was quite loud as well for not even having a dance floor. It's a beautiful space to grab a nice cocktail with some girl friends and great for visitors, but not exactly the type of place I would hang out regularly.

A MUST!!!! NEED it! Gotta have it! You WILL LOVE it! THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing Vibe inside, perfect ambiance, and the greatest tasting food you will ever have.

We made a reservation for two, Monday night 7:30! Arrived on time, the doorman acts as if we are at the Oscars, very pretentious. We are seated, our waitress is friendly. We order a bottle of Chardonnay, from Argentina, had a nose like burnt rubber, horrible. Crab crumpet was equally bad, really generic. The ribeye steak was not a ribeye, it was a sirloin, tasty, but not a ribeye. Maybe this place was good in 2006 but it's lost it's appeal!!! Terrible!!!

I like Tigerlilly ! I prefer better for a cocktail or afternoon tea! I have dined and the food was delicious but really afternoon tea here is fabby! We opted for afternoon tea for two including a ketel pot cocktail, lots of lovely cakes, scones and sandwiches and the staff who served us were lovely. I love the decor of tigerlilly and its always has a nice atmosphere and lots of professionalism.
