The Merry Monk - City of Albany

The meal took longer than the surrounding tables. a burger was underoccupied and zimmertemp at the arrival.

We have made a reservation on open table, and after 15 minutes in rain to walk to the restaurant, it was closed and had a sign that everything was taken due to a tax problem. it was closed and there was no other explanation. very disappointing. not sure what opentable can do about it naturally, but it seemed to be closed for a dae. it would be nice if there were any possibility to check the restaurant were still open when bookings are made.

The place is closed! it was not confiscated by the state after controlling. do not reserve!

The food was excellent! They had good Belgian-style dishes and a great beer selection! It was very busy there the night we attended. We could tell that most of the clientele were attending the same concert that we were attending, so things were a bit rushed, crowded, and hectic. We plan on going back again at an off time in order to take our time and truly enjoy the food and drink at the Merry Monk. We hope it will be worth the second look.

Always excellent food at reasonable prices with a great atmosphere. Beer selection is great if you like craft beers!
