Civic Asian Noodle House - CITY

Civic Asian Noodle House has the best Laksa in Canberra, its spicy and is consistently good every time. I don't eat anything else here but the Laksa. Great Value and very Fast Services.

This Civic Asian Noodle House has moved to the other side of Northbourne Avenue into a larger venue which doesn't have a great ambiance. It's practical however with more tables which are further apart. Normally at an Asian Noodle House (there are now 5 in Canberra) I'd have Roast Duck Rice but their Laksas are extremely good. I had a seafood combination laksa with extra tofu which was very flavoursome and some jasmine tea. The tea for two was a bit stingy. Our food also came out at different times which is not sociable and some diners are left with nothing whilst the others are eating. I suspect this place is popular with students because the prices are reasonable. It could, however do with a deep clean, especially the rest rooms. OK for an unromantic dinner and food with flavour.

Loved the broken rice and pork dish, well seasoned, well balanced and overall a fantastic restaurant, much like its sister shop in Dickson. Overall: a great place for an Asian fix though a bit expensive and often (justifiably) crowded.

Very tasty food, very quick, great value and of a consistently good standard. Laksa and noodles were excellent.

I've eaten here now a few times recently whilst traveling. They have a wide range of Asian food and I tried a Laos dish tonight with beef and peanut sauce. It was very moreish and I ate more than I would normally, this is not fine dining but the food is consistently good and fresh.Staff are super attentive and as I eat alone they do not hassle and are very friendly. I'll keep coming back as there is a big range and everything is pretty yum and from what I saw others eating I have yet to experience the popular items.Good value, fresh yummy food!
