Bidrage med feedbackThe sun and the heat are intense in Cuba, that's a fact, as is the fact that Cubans love ice cream, one of the best remedies to overcome those hot July afternoons when the thermometers reach 35 degrees in the shade. The most famous ice cream parlor in the country is undoubtedly Coppelia, but since there was such a long line the day we passed by the one in Cienfuegos, we decided to go into Dinos ice cream parlor instead. Dinos ice cream parlor is located in the heart of the city, specifically on El Prado Avenue between Santa Clara and Argüelles streets. The place is tiny with only 6 tables (Coppelias are usually huge) but it has air conditioning, which is not very common when it comes to ice cream parlors. There we had a cup of chocolate ice cream, just one since we didn't have a budget for more, but the ice cream was really good. The downside was the prices, which, although not expensive (50 cents per scoop), compared to the prices at Coppelia, we could say that Dinos is very expensive but the quality of the ice cream is much higher. In addition to the typical scoops of ice cream, they also have their own creations and the famous banana split. And if you're in the mood for coffee, they also prepare it and they have a coffee machine, so Dinos ice cream parlor is a very good option for eating ice cream or having a good coffee.
The sun and heat make Cuba a charming place, and it's a known fact that Cubans love ice cream. One of the best ways to cool down on hot July afternoons when temperatures reach 35 degrees in the shade. While the most famous ice cream shop in the country is Coppelia, we decided to try Dinos Ice Cream Shop instead, as there was a long line at Coppelia when we passed by. Dinos is located in the city center, specifically on the promenade of the prairie between the streets of Clara and Argüelles. The shop is relatively small, with only six tables compared to the larger Coppelia. We tried a scoop of chocolate ice cream, as it was all we could afford, but it was delicious. The prices were a bit high, with a scoop costing 50 cents in euros, but the quality of the ice cream was excellent. They also serve coffee, and the ice cream at Dinos is a great choice for a sweet treat or a delicious cup of coffee.
