La Reginella - CICCIANO

This is just such a stumble-upon spot where I do not think any tourist has ever been. In the local supermarket they could not understand how we found them. The restaurant is obviously family run, typical of a traditional old Italian restaurant and again is obviously the place the local community have their weddings, christenings etc. The food is so well prepared and full of Italian panache and quality ingredients. The staff are desperate to please and the one man, I think he may have been the chef/cook, who spoke English was very helpful. This was our second visit, about 20 mins from Naples Airport, and when we arrived in the morning it was worth slightly detouring here before driving up to the Amalfi coast to our holiday destination. The local supermarket has local prices and is well out the tourist trap pricing scenario. A sat-nav is essential We found the place because we had previously booked in to an Alastair Sawday bed and breakfast in the same town some time ago and the locals recommended the place to us.
