Tapioca Express - Chula Vista

The service was excellent; the staff member who prepared our drinks was friendly and efficient. While the decor felt a bit dated, there were a few seating options available, including outdoor seating in the shopping mall that featured lovely landscaping and shaded areas. Interestingly, Tapioca Express was quite empty during our visit, with no other customers around. I guess bubble tea isn't a morning craze for everyone!

There are tons of locations just in Chula Vista alone but the stores provide a great atmosphere to enjoy a drink and meet up with friends. Feels like the brighter, fun Starbucks of boba. Tons of variety and plenty of snacks to nibble on. My favorite is the honeydew snow bubble and crispy chicken. Tip: I prefer to skip boba in snow bubbles (frappe) because the texture becomes very hard (simular to putting gummy bears into frozen yogurt). If I do order a milk tea with boba, try small boba. It's more fun and a silkier texture.
