Bidrage med feedbackVery good and distinctive food, fine service. Decor is a little spartan, but not bad. I don 't especially like the titular dish (memelas), but there are many wonderful Mexican and Thai dishes I particularly like the 'Smoked Marlin Quesataco ', the fresh Spring Rolls, and the green curry dish. The sauces (Mexican and Thai) all seem to be made in house, and taste great even on dishes of the 'other ' nationality. The authenticity is helped by the fact that one owner is Thai, one Mexican (and both are quite friendly). We go there pretty often. It 's very easy to get to (just off the 805 at Bonita Rd), never a shortage of parking, and fairly priced.
I got the Thai platter and the wife got the nachos. It is a Thai and Mexican restaurant in one with some fusion items on the menu as well. The thai side of things has a few noodle dishes but concentrates more on non-noodle dishes. The mexican fare is pretty simple stuff with burritos and nachos. The guacamole was delicious.
First time i went was a few years ago and i LOVED it. Awesome service, awesome food, awesome everything. But lately it has all decreased a bit. Rather than going to sit in and wait a long time, i just call for take out. The food quality has also gone wrong a few times. I still enjoy going there, but it gets harder to convince others to go with me as they become worst.
My husband and I have eaten here several times and always had a great experience. We've tried several dishes and would re-order each one again.
