The Kings Arms - Christchurch

I came here last week for a wedding and it was such a cool little hotel/wedding venue/pub/restaurant/bar! The wedding ceremony actually took place in the

"King's Arms Restaurant, a let down on this visit." We are staying at the King's Arms and usually we try the hotel's restaurant, it's a hit and miss

This is another Alex Aitken venture - he also does the Jetty and the hotel restaurant at the Christchurch harbour hotel.

Lovely room and very helpful friendly professional service, food was all good.

Although the food was good, the service and atmosphere were very much lacking. The background music kept changing from one theme to another, none befitting the meal. Service was ok, but not outstanding, and rather than leave a jug of water on the table, we had to keep asking for a refill, which was annoying. Needs to improve, badly.
