C4 Coffee - Christchurch

Have been here a few times for lunch. Really good food and coffee. I have had the tiramisu pancakes and a burger, with chips, on seperate occasions. The pancakes are delicious but I did not find them overly filling, where as the burger and chips was a good portion size. The coffee is really good and I also enjoyed having a browse of the coffee machines after eating. Will certainly be back!

Their Krank and Stout blends are probably best. Recommend the tasting flight 3 cups of piccolo to see what you like! Also potato hash of their

Vibrant atmosphere with coffee and food to match! A very cool cafe right by the city centre. Friendly staff. Fast service. Lots of options for drinks and food to suit every taste. Recommend the chai lattes and french toast!

My decaf flat white was average. It had a reasonable head on it but the body was thin and not aerated. Taste was no more than mild. You see I guess I know how good C4 coffee was back in the post-quake days.....being one of their early customers back in the Tuam St warehouse. I'll always remember how damned good your coffees were, every single one of the dozens of times I went there with my workmates ie five days a week! Compared to the standard of say average Wellington coffee there is work to be done!! Hopefully you'll take this on board. The ambience and outdoor seating is very good though, probably near the top of the city scene so if the coffee quality is secondary to your needs then fill your boots. I realize some folk don't know what a really good coffee is, or don't really care.
