The Rivington - Chorley

Six of us went to the restaurant for breakfast and had a really enjoyable meal with excellent tea and coffee at a very reasonable price. We will definitely be returning!

First car park was rammed and hard work turning with all the other cars but what can you do that can’t be helped. It was so busy found it a little hectic. Found it over priced for what we ordered my toasties barely had cheese but mainly just huge onions which was too much for me really. We would go back for drinks but not food. We sat out as we had the dog infront of a door that said main entrance only instead of that one so we wouldn’t be in the way with the dog but everyone used the door anyway. Food came to the wrong table but that had just been marked down wrong when I told them where we was sat outside the door without a number. Chips was nice.

The restaurant seemed nice, but unfortunately, we were aggressively turned away by a loud and intoxicated landlord as we tried to enter. Despite our intentions to spend money at the pub, we were denied access without reason. It appears that there are certain rituals and respect that must be followed in order to gain entry. If these are not adhered to, expect a heated reaction from the landlord. It seems best to visit during specific times, but we won't be returning to find out.

Absolutely spot on! The staff are delightful, the venue is brilliant and the food is delicious ,well cooked, well presented and so fresh, definitely the place to visit

Decades ago, we used to run our football trips by starting here and I haven’t been back since. A group of us called in on a Saturday afternoon and things have changed and very much for the better! The development has been fantastic and now this facility has something for everyone. there is a Bowling Green which seems popular, but there’s so much else to like as well. Parking is free and quite plentiful and the view is absolutely stunning. We just got some beers and sat outside taking in the views across the reservoir and beyond. The service was fast and friendly, and the price is very reasonable indeed. Having not been there for many, many years, the next visit will certainly be a lot sooner!
