Bidrage med feedbackWe travel about 250 days a year. Staying at American Express Fine Hotels and dine at several Michelin Star Resturants every year, we are used to great service and fine dining at some of the worlds best hotels and resturant. The Meo Modo resturant gave us the best overall experience of dining in 2021 (nov-2020-nov-2021). We had a romantc dining, with a fantastic menu, great service and healty food. There where no mistake from chef or waiters. Even with special diet. Great presentation and perfect mix of food so every senses was used to enjoy this meal. We did not stay at the Hotel but in a Inspirato 11 century villa. As a Leading Hotel member, we will love to come back to stay at the Borgo Santo Pietro hotel next time we visit Tuscany.
As one of the guests at the hotel we decided to have dinner here on our first night. We decided on the 6 course degustation yes it is expensive but met our expectation). We were advised you could select specific dishes 2 starters, 2 first course and 1 main and 1 dessert). We decided on their egg dish, artichoke, tortellini, red prawn spaghetti, lamb, sea bass and their dark chocolate dessert. Definitely the highlight were the egg dish, artichoke, red prawn spaghetti ! Lots of fine dining techniques were used creating lots of different textured. The sea bass was a little bit fishy so probably our least favourite dish but the lamb was great was a little small for a main). Service was absolutely spot on for a michelin start restaurant. A little tip is to book for a table in front of the fireplace outside. Super delicious and enjoyable meal. Ignore the price and just immerse yourself in the meal
I've been to a number of fancy dining experiences in my time (including Michelin star), and this one takes the cake. 10 of us went here for a dining experience we will never forget. Upon arriving we were struck by the elegance and charm of the setting. We were warmly greeted and taken care of until dinner was ready. The staff took excellent care of us over dinner, and accommodated any special requests we had. Overall, this experience was one we won't forget, and is definitely worth every penny. Would go back just for the setting alone...
While staying at the Borgo San Pietro, we had dinner one evening at Meo Modo, the Michelin star restaurant on the property. The food was beautifully presented and tasty. But as is usual in these type of restaurants we found the prices high. My starter was a small, mixed green salad which I discovered later was €30. I think that borders on the ridiculous. The service was good, but we had occasion to sit next to a couple who had just had their wedding there a few days before and the entire staff understandably lined up to give them extra attention and discuss their beautiful event. They were a lovely couple and as I said, the extra attention was understandable. In retrospect, we enjoyed our meals at the other restaurant, the Treehouse, more.
Me and my husband had dinner there during our stay at the hotel. We chose the long tasting menu, and the food was simply incredible local products with a touch of creativity! However, In our opinion, the long menu is too much, we had the food very rapidly served, didnt have time to “digest” in between dishes, the waiters were already waiting close by with the next plate when we hadnt finished the previous one I hate to have that unintentional pressure when enjoying a meal. That happened also with the wine pairing, which was incredible as well, but went too fast, didnt give us enough time to enjoy each glass of wine. Apart from the timing, the place is so beautiful and the personnel very nice, it is worth the visit.
