Stou Giorgou - Chios

This is one of the best places in CHIOS. Amazing panoramic view of Chios bay and Turkey coast. Food is great with a variety of local and Greek dishes. Giorgos is a great host and the whole service is 5 . amazing experience. This my 3rd time and things are getting even better.

Excellent food, cozy place, reasonable prices! Mules with feta cheese and mustard is absolutely amzing, shrimps kritharoto is also very good. We ve also had the amazing salad with tortilla, fresh kalamari, octapus, potatoes and everything was perfect! We paid 20€ per person for a full meal that we couldn’t manage to finish! Big portions!

The food is really delicious. It makes the difference with other restaurants on the island.

Food quality yes but quantity too small for price asked e.g. 9 euros for a few fries 4 tiny pieces of meat). It’s one of these rare times when I order 3 dishes at a taverna, I’m not full. Location is lovely however. Apart from this, my main concern was the service. We were a party of 2, EU foreigners probably the only ones during our service. We got paired with a borderline rude waiter who avoided speaking to us or looking in the eyes at all times. Not surprising to see him give us 2 thin slices of “complimentary” watermelon to share meanwhile next table, party of 4 Greek only) got treated to 4 slices of chocolate cake ice cream and a plate full of watermelon slices all on the house It’s discriminatory it doesn’t even make sense business wise. I have lived almost 4 years in Greece I don’t always leave a comment for all bad customer service I receive from Greek restaurateurs but I’m getting tired of this treatment by people who clearly made a choice to work in the service/tourism industry but cannot put their personal xenophobic) feelings aside.

Great eating! leber, mushrooms and salate were exceptional.
