I came here for lunch with some coworkers. Most places were closed, so we ended up here by default. While it’s not the most appealing spot, the food is quite good and reasonably priced. You can enjoy a buffet for just $7.50.
The pizza here was quite good. If you've been to Chincoteague, you know it feels like everything shuts down after 8:00 PM. Maria's was the only place that seemed to be open when I finished work, so I decided to give it a try without knowing what to expect. I ordered a pizza, and while it wasn't groundbreaking, it was tasty. The ingredients were fresh, and the sauce was enjoyable. Unlike what the previous reviewer mentioned, they actually had cheese and pepper available. Our waiter was a bit of a character and reminded me of Pauly Shore. Overall, the service was solid, the prices were reasonable for the portion sizes, and the atmosphere was pleasant. It turned out to be a better experience than I anticipated.
All right. The first thing about me. No grated cheese or crushed red pepper on the table. This seems a basic thing for any Italian style restaurant. Menu is a little strange, but not a big problem. The prices are very fair on the regular stuff. The dinners are a tad price at $11 for a Salisbury steak at $17 for fried shrimps. The Italian specialties seem wise at par price with other places. Now for a food review: Fried Ravioli w/marinara sauce; not bad, the Marinara sauce needed something like the missing parm or red peppers. I was shocked that the waitress didn't get out either. Baked lasagna (homemade daily) w/ dinner salad and garlic bread. Dinner salad was a basic salad: salad, cherry tomatoes, cucumber. Just enough to take you to the main course. The garlic bread was a 6 lower roll and was well seasoned. again enough for the main meal. The lasagna was quite delicious! Good spices and taste add a bite of garlic bread and it was really delicious. Would order it again. I almost forgot there was no parm or red pepper to help him. All this is a good place to eat. You can very busy on Friday night so plan accordingly.
This place was amaaaaazing! The decor might benefit from a little updating, but the food abd the service was spot on. Best chicken soup I've had in a while and the fries with bacon and cheese was so yummy!! Our group had grilled cheese, soups, Greek salad, Italian sub, and those yummy fries! Will 100% go back on our next trip!
