Whit's Frozen Custard - Chillicothe

Could someone clarify why there was an extra $0.75 charge for ordering my shake "No Toppings"? That seems a bit unusual. The custard is delicious, but the shakes are already on the expensive side.

If you haven't had the chance to try this frozen custard yet, you absolutely should! It's incredibly creamy and delicious, made fresh each day. I typically choose the vanilla flavor and top it with strawberries, pineapple, coconut, and banana. It was truly amazing!

Update, November 2022: I've been in Chillicothe for a month now, and my experience at this restaurant was the worst I've had. The name "Custard Kids" seems quite appropriate compared to other local places. My visit was really disappointing. The teenager who took our order handed me a milkshake that had custard smeared all over the outside of the cup. When I tried to grab some napkins to clean it up, I discovered the dispenser was empty. Although it was refilled when I asked, the napkins were packed so tightly that I could hardly pull any out. It seems like this place relies on its local reputation, but the experience doesn't match up. If you encounter a rude and inconsiderate staff member when you walk in, I suggest you leave immediately. There are plenty of other ice cream shops in town that are much more deserving of your time—don’t waste it at Custard Kids.

I had a fantastic experience with the delicious food and delightful custard! I ordered a footlong coney dog and a grasshopper whizzer, and both were exceptional. The prices were also quite reasonable.

We finally made the decision to try Whit's! I opted for their butter pecan flavor served in a waffle cone, and both were incredible. This was my first experience with custard, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, although it leans towards the sweeter side. I think we'll reserve this as a special treat for ourselves!
