Lco Casino Buffet - Chief Lake

Was in town and decided to check this place out for a bit. Definitely not Vegas, but wasn't expecting it to be. They have a plethora of slot machines in there. There are 4-5 tables (black jack, and poker I believe). Had the tables to ourselves on a Friday night. The slots paid out ok. The dealers need some work, miss counting cards or not following protocol you would see at other casinos. Hot dogs were $1 and pizza a few bucks, which wasn't too bad after losing the rest of our money.

Went this afternoon for the Friday Seafood Buffet and it was awful!!! The meat/fish/seafood was cool to lukewarm, definitely in the danger zone bacteria wise. When i went to get ice cream the cleaning solution went into the bottom of the cup before the ice cream came out. Never again!!!

There have been some very positive improvements since I last visited LCO. While the slots are still pretty tight compared with Las Vegas, they seem more competitive with the other Native American Owned Casinos in Wisconsin. When we visited today, we both experienced and saw more frequent token wins on the slot machines and some mid sized ones ourselves. We also saw a couple of people hit pretty big on some of the slot machines. There have been improvements in the games, the hit rates and the facilities that really marked a nice turn around for the casino. If they keep down this path they stand a very good future of profits, increased attendance and ongoing growth. I am very impressed both with the turn around that this casino has seen and the direction that it seems to be headed. Based on today's visit (even though I didn't walk out having won more than I spent) I had a very enjoyable time, would return and would recommend LCO Casino to others.

Our first room had a heater that did not work. Wallpaper above heater was peeling off wall. Moved all our luggage to a different room which was a hassle. The appearance of the wallpaper above heater was even worse. A very messy job was done with glue on wallpaper, it was all over, even on the heater itself. Areas where wallpaper curled up was very black in color....actually looks like black mold. I complained to front desk.did not really want to sleep with black mold next to bed. Was offered another room but we did not feel like moving again. You would think after all this they could have at least upgraded us to something nicer. I guess we need to ask to see rooms first before we settle in for the night.

Does not provide guests with wifi service unless in hotel. Should improve.. This is below the standard expected of service
