Bidrage med feedbackAfter I had seen the owner added some old favorites to the menu of the original Om Foods, I wanted to try. Unfortunately, it's not what it used to be. I have a burger and it wasn't almost as good as the old recipe. Was excited that they added frits as a page, and while they were good, there was an additional fee for them that was not worth it for the given amount. It is a summer to see many meat based options on the menu, while the vegan options have become smaller and not the love they used to give them. I could make another attempt, but it won't be soon.
Delicious food, good service. We had the vegan Rueben and a vegan burger. We look forward to returning!
I was a fan of her previous place, OM Foods, and was worried that she would cut most of her vegan options from her new location and menu. I was in the new place and tried their new menu three times and were satisfied each time with food, taste, textures, price and service. One thing I noticed is when I ordered something fried, whether it is tofu or French fries, I felt almost immediately sick while eating fried food that does not usually happen to me... Not sure what it's about. The oil they use? If it's a common frit with fish, milk and meat products, maybe? I couldn't say. But I will continue to support every restaurant in Chico, including OM On The Range, which strives to accompany the vegan community. Try the Slavchos and the Caesar and the Reubs.
I loved Om, loved how they promoted vegan and plant-based foods (save for a few pescatarian options). I am extremely disappointed to see how they have shifted their image with this new location an their promotion on Happy Cow. They boast on their windows about all the meat they serve, and I 've had a friend voice how she is considering eating meat again because they brand themselves as sustainable, misleading the public on the animal agriculture industry. In short, there is no sustainable or ethical way to eat meat. To produce the amount of meat to feed everyone creates astronomical greenhouse gas emissions, even if they 're sourced sustainably and slaughtered humanely (an oxymoron), simply because of the quantity required. Sadly, I am no longer supporting Om/Om on the Range. This restaurant should not be on this app.
This is the second location this family has opened a restaurant at. Their other location is 100% vegan. This location offers vegan foods in addition to organic, free-range, ethically gleaned proteins.
