Went for a last minute Sunday roast dinner and was pleasantly surprised. We are relatively local and have sampled most of the roast dinners that this area has to offer. This was actually the best in a long time, with perfect amount of meat (beef) no fat at all, generous helpings of veg and decent roasties. The cauli cheese was poor but the rest was very good. Service was great, wine good and ambience great. It is not busy compared to its counterpart The Fox Goes Free, but personally I would rather this pub grub any day of the week.
