Yolk - Chicago

I dined here two days in a row because we enjoyed it so much! The breakfast mac and cheese was gooey and delicious, and the French toast was sweet and tasty as well. On the second day, I tried the eggs benedict caprese, which was also incredibly delicious.

I completely misjudged this place! We used to order through DoorDash and thought the food was just okay, but dining in is a much better experience. My son and I enjoyed the strawberry-orange juice, a salted caramel latte, and the all-star special. I was a bit let down that it didn't include hash browns, but there was still an impressive amount of food. The sausage and bacon were fantastic! The latte was sweeter than I prefer, but it was still delicious. The servers were incredibly friendly as well. I will definitely be coming back!

Anthony at Yolk Lakeview was an outstanding server and host. He was attentive and assisted us in selecting some truly unique and delicious items from the menu. We had a wonderful time during our visit. We highly recommend the breakfast burrito (available with or without chorizo), the breakfast potatoes, and the eggs Benedict. We also loved the chocolate chip pancake. The lattes and matcha were delicious as well.

Was hoping for a 5 star review from what we heard from others. Food was good, service was good, coffee was good. No complaints, just not at 5 stars. You will enjoy it.

Update Sep-2021: My wife and I have become regulars at Yolk Lakeview. The service and food quality hold up every time. I would rate them 6 stars without a doubt! Original review, May-2021: My wife and I are new to the Lakeview area. We walked into this Yolk location for the first time and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast and a very friendly service from Rachel, who raised the definition of “welcome” to a whole new level! Delicious food, awesome coffee and just an amazing experience. We will come back for more, for sure!
