The Loyalist - Chicago

Yooo the OG burger is definitely a contender for the top 10 burgers in the city. But idk if it cracked the top 5 thou for me. It's a solid burger, it's a good burger...but great, ima pump the breaks on it I give it an 8.5. It's solid frfr. The pattie is seasoned well, and ok in size but I often feel I'm eating more bread than burger on most bites. I also got it with a chocolate chip cookie for dessert and I'm not joking but damn this cookie is phenomenal 9.8. Like all jokes aside it's a top-tier cookie and I enjoyed every bite. It come out hot n fresh plus mad flavorful and hit the spot. Overall, the spot is cool I Iike the drinks and customer service. 8.8.

I had an amazing burger the first time I visited this restaurant. However, when I decided to try the steak frites on my most recent visit, I was disappointed. The steak was tough and flavorless, overcooked, and covered in mediocre sauce. The frites were decent but lacked any accompanying sauces. Despite this, I may return for the foie gras eclair and beef tartare, which were tasty. Next time, I will stick to the burger.

I would definitely go back again. The burgers are fantastic and the beer and shot combo is unbeatable. Score: 10/10.

This restaurant deserves a 3 out of 5 rating. The portion sizes were small (it was brunch, not Iron Chef), but our waiter was friendly, although it felt like he was reciting the same script to every table. The prices were high for the portion sizes, but nothing was terrible until the smoked salmon dish. It tasted like old smoked salmon on plain bread with butter, making me feel sick afterwards. The meal ended on a positive note with a delicious pear tart and Irish coffee.

Updated Brunch Review: This used to be one of my favorite restaurants to go to but this time and last time was quite disappointing. I'll give them a 3rd chance but three strikes and you're out. Farm Eggs: Skip How is this not a scam? You can hardly taste the crab (if at all) in this and then pay fourteen dollars for a hard boiled egg.... Pate: Get I love me some foie gras and this was amazing. Only four dollars more than the above... it's just a great experience with the fatty meat butter, pickled items, and sauce to spread all over a bread piece of bread. Croque Madame: Maybe get A decent open-face sandwich but not too memorable tbh Burger: Get!! One of the reasons to come here is probably one of the best burgers ever. I've had this so many times and continue to get it almost every time I come back. Just get it, you won't regret it Service: Uhhhhh... Usually, it's on point but this time it was a mess. The server forgot our order a couple of times and our food took AGES to come out. Maybe it was just this brunch service as I usually go for dinner but we hung out and talked over an empty table for way too long. Food: 7/10 Service: 5/10 Atmosphere: 6/10 Value: 6/10
