The Galway Arms - Chicago

We had a great experience at this Irish bar tonight. The live music ensemble was very enjoyable, and even though we sat outside, we could still hear the music playing through the speakers. The food was delicious, and the cider on tap was top-notch.

As an Irish person who has dined extensively in Ireland, I must say that this restaurant is phenomenal! The Ruben sandwich is exceptional, the service is excellent, and you can never go wrong with a Guinness. If you are ever in the area, you absolutely must dine here!

The atmosphere is pleasant and a little dim. We enjoyed ordering baby Guinness shots, which was a fun experience! However, the fries were a bit soggy and not very crispy. The breading on the fried pickles and onion rings was also too thick for our liking. The drinks were fantastic, and I particularly enjoyed the Caesar salad.

Oh WOW!!! I absolutely loved the environment here. I felt at home!! I stayed inside my bos as my family had fed me too much all week. The food was delicious and the ale I had was Peach enhanced. Delectable!!

The best part of the Galway Arms was meeting James the bartender from Sligo. If ever there was a job for an Irish man in Chicago...... he was the best craic! Thank you James for making our trip to Chicago even more memorable! The Galway Arms is a gorgeous Irish pub with live trad music most nights,. The food is really good too!
