Taquería El Charro I - Chicago

We ordered the breakfast special and the steak chimichanga on postmates. Postmates won't let us review the restaurant which means the reviews on the app aren't accurate. Both meals were such bad quality we couldn't eat it. My breakfast was complete soaked and wet with a sauce. Everything in it was swimming. My husband's chimichanga was just beef and cheese and was dripping in oil. We had to make breakfast and throw these orders away. Maybe eat in person as opposed to ordering but I personally would only eat there for something simple like tacos.

Great food in Rogers Park. Authentic to Mexico. I've been here several times and I keep going back because they've never let me down. Consistently good food, prices, and service. I think they're BYOB also. So enjoy your beverage and enjoy this great food.Food: 5/5

This is my fav Mexican restaurant hands down. Service is prompt and good. Hubby and I always order the same thing the suziso burrito (can’t remember the spelling) and he gets the sandwich and the grilled jalapeño. Both so so good. We always get the popsicle as well strawberry and cream and coconut. We also tried the tacos as well, my fav is shrimp. The chips and Salas is amazing super spicy just the way I like it. Highly recommend, you can’t go wrong. You know the place is good when it is packed with locals.

I hosted an event for my students El Taqueria catered. The students LOVED the tacos! Everything was delicious I didn’t have any issue with creating the catering order. They were very timely and everything came as expected. I love them!
