Bidrage med feedbackTo be honest, this restaurant has some good qualities and offers tasty food, but several small issues detracted from what could have been a fantastic experience. Given that it's owned by Trump and boasts two Michelin stars, I expected a much higher standard. Unfortunately, due to various shortcomings, I would argue it doesn't even deserve a single Michelin star. The lobster was overcooked and too chewy, the coffee lacked sugar, the bathroom was running low on soap, and our server mistakenly charged us for not only our meal but also for another more expensive table's order. We also found crumbs and stains on our table, and the dress code wasn't enforced. Don't get me wrong, it’s a nice establishment, but the service needs significant improvement before it reopens. Overall, it was an interesting visit, but certainly not worth the $100+ price tag.
We traveled all the way from the British Virgin Islands for the closing menu, and it was quite enjoyable. We’re excited to see the renovations!
The service was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. On the other hand, the food was truly outstanding; the combination of flavors was expertly crafted, and I especially enjoyed the creative use of unique ingredients.
Excellent high end gourmet dining experience. Wine pairings where truly exquisite. Expensive (which is to be expected), but note that the advertised prices do not include service or taxes.
We were visiting from out of town and wanted to try a Michelin rated restaurant. We had heard great reviews for this place. We thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu which was the legacy menu. Each course was a mini surprise of flavors, textures and artfully presented. The ambience was quiet, good outlook to chicago’s Downtown with wall to ceiling windows. We were seated by the window. Service was impeccable, friendly. Each time a new dish was served, the ingredients and composition were explained. We did not do any wine pairings but all the other tables did. Our favorite dishes had sweet components (appetizer rhubarb snacks, and the desserts). We learned that Sixteen was closing down at the end of the month and being reconfigured to a new concept which I’m sure will still bring in crowds.
