Simply Pasteur - Chicago

I am seriously dreaming about going back. We went a few nights ago and had an excellent meal. I had the duck curry and Vietnamese spring rolls. My mom loved the clay pot catfish. The outdoor patio is gorgeous and so is the dining room. Greatplace to wash away all your stress. You will feel like you are on a very nice vacation.

This restaurant is fantastic. The interior patio is very romantic, the food is decent, and the staff is attentive. Xenia and Igor went above and beyond to meet our needs. We will definitely be returning!

The outdoor and indoor spaces are lovely, but the food was average and forgettable. The service was poor, as our group of 7 had to wait for hours for our meals. The waitress kept bringing out wine without explanation or food. When we requested to speak to a manager, the waitress initially refused and the manager was unhelpful. Our food tickets were brought out in an attempt to prove we were wrong, but it was clear that our order had not been properly taken. The level of service was unacceptable, and despite being told to "ask for her next time" by management, I will not be returning to this restaurant.

This restaurant is absolutely gorgeous and the food is exceptional. Our server, Lisa, was very kind and accommodating. We started with delicious Spring Rolls and Vietnamese Crepe with Shrimp, both of which were fantastic. Everyone enjoyed their meals, especially my Chicken Curry, Ginger Chicken, and Pho with Chicken. For dessert, we had Banana Bread Pudding with Caramel Sauce, which was indescribably delicious. My birthday dinner was perfect. The wine selection is a bit limited, but the food is so good that you won't mind. I definitely plan on returning soon.

This place is perfect for a date night. Every item on the menu was spot on authentic using the freshest ingredients. Wait staff were very solicitous, courteous and congenial.
