San Soo Korean Bbq - Chicago

I've eaten here a few times in the past, and until this trip it was always a great experience. Unfortunately, at this time the service was substandard. We waited long periods of time for our waiter when we needed something, and he seemed more interested in chatting with the other staff members instead of taking care of us. Most of the food was still delicious. Only problem was with the rice bowl (bimimbap). Usually the stone bowl is ridiculously hot, which cooks the rice and makes it crispy. This time the bowl was only lukewarm and the rice never really cooked. Based on past experiences, I would still go here. However, if this becomes the new normal, it would not be worthwhile, especially for the price.

Very good food. Did the meal for 4 and it was way too much. All was excellent but would skip the Korean fried chicken next time. That dish was just ok. Everything else was great. Way too much food. Very good value. Service so so.

Food is amazing , the staff is amazing and the prices are amazing! I love the place.

Beyond amazing spot to share everything on the menu and love every bite. Go with friends and plan to share! Loved it all.
