Nookies Edgewater - Chicago

Great value with good food and generous portions with many options and gluten-free choices. beautiful deserts and my cocktail were very good and fresh.

Nookies is a local gem absolute favorite for good, fresh, mainstream American dining, that accept all tastes and managers/Maître d' roberto evangelista lopez is a shade that takes special sitting opportunities and clearly advocates that both repetitions and new customers are happy. the pot roast is a fragrant, delicate evening option, like any of the salads or in my case the hardened tilapia plate. fresh apple berry crumbs and one to die for brownie dessert make a great finale. for brunch I love the grilled cheese sandwich best in the neighboring.

We have been frequenting this restaurant for a few years now because it is conveniently located on our travel route and has parking (a major advantage). The menu used to have omelets and other breakfast items available all day, as well as more lunch options in the evening. Unfortunately, the menu has recently changed, which was disappointing for some of our group members who enjoyed the restaurant for these particular dishes. We will need to find a new spot for our gatherings.

There was hardly anyone at 6:30. the waiter made my order wrong. it was tasty, just not what I ordered. I would give them a chance and if they had to plan business trips last minute, they will keep this place in mind. Classic enough for a business dinner and many available tables if their group size is large.

I went to Nookies on a Friday night to catch up with my brother over dinner. It was pretty quiet and not crowded for a Friday night, which made it a great place to have a conversation. In regards to the food, Nookies manages to have a menu full of creative dishes that is updated seasonally, and genuinely stands out in terms of flavor and quality (a difficult task nowadays, when virtually every new restaurant tries to jump on the New American bandwagon). Lastly, while I wouldn 't call the bill that my brother and I racked up affordable, Nookies does provide quite a bit of food for the money they charge (at least by Chicago standards), so there 's no risk of going home hungry. P.S. Highly recommend the pot roast!
