Nigerian Kitchen - Chicago

Don’t go here , such a disgusting smelling place . Right when you walk in it’s the most rancid fish and moth balls smell . I got a head ache instantly . Please put them out of business they don’t deserve to have a location if they can’t upkeep it .

I ordered from them via Uber eats.. the driver delivered the wrong order. I contacted the restaurant and though they were closed for orders, they made a whole new order and personally delivered it. I was very impressed and truly appreciate their effort. And of course the food tastes amazing.

The yam porridge has to be the star of this place! Spicy. Fresh. Tasty. Soft, not runny. Just amazing. I wish I got more egusi soup and less of the stew though. It looked like they just added meat from the soup into the stew. However, with the way the yam porridge hit on this cold, rainy afternoon I hold no grudges. Maybe I’ll specify that next time. Also, they gave me fried plantain instead of moimoi (I’m guessing they didn’t have moimoi) which I’m not thrilled about but it’s fine. Everything tastes great, especially the porridge yam!

Walked into this place to get food and stood in line for 20 minutes listening to them arguing in the back,and every time the lady walked to the front I tried to get her attention to place my order and she offered me a menu I told her i know what I want then she said she has to go get a pen and notepad ,she came back without a pen/notepad constantly walking pass me so something told me to call in while I was standing inside to place my order and I did,now here she come trying to take my order then I get all the way to my room and noticed they gave me the wrong order I was so mad because I don’t eat that cow leg ish I asked for for Egusi with all fish.

Just left the Restaurant you have to ring the bell for service no one came to the front to acknowledge me for over five mins.
