Bidrage med feedbackThat is the absolutely best Ethiopian restaurant we have tried in the middle west, and we have tried them all (chicago, st. louis, indianapolis, madison). the balance of the seasoned, the texture of the injira, the perfectly cooked vegetables, and the wonderful coffee served in a traditional jebena comes all together to make a perfect meal. we have been coming here for decades since it has been called and we are pleased that maritu (the daughter of the former owner) has taken over the operation. it looks as if it continues the family structure by using the same traditional family recipes that their mother passed on to them. please continue and do nothing!
Our first Ethiopian food experience, we ordered Yebeg De Beebere (lamb), Doro Wat (chicken), spinach, collard greens, all so delicious! Friendly atmosphere, great service, will definitely come back.
First time eating Ethiopian food and it was a great experience. The food was flavorful and the variety made the whole visit enjoyable. Definitely recommend going with lots of people because the presentation suggests a communal eating experience.
We had a lovely experience trying out the different dishes with injera. Our servers were so friendly and knowledgeable and they explained each dish patiently. We got the chicken entree and had the veggie sampler. This place is great for vegans as i've never seen so many options and because they use traditional spices, each vegetable dish is unique to the restaurant. Don't skip their traditional coffee which is freshly brewed and grinded from Ethiopian beans when you order! It takes 20 minutes to prepare and is the best meal ender. The smoothest coffee we ever tasted! We will be back!
First experience of Ethiopian food. Chose the veggie sampler and Doro Wat. Service was a little slow but I wasn’t in a hurry so it worked out perfectly. The staff were very attentive and helpful.
