Bidrage med feedbackShort staffed compromised service and wait times. Was looking forward to the burrata but the outer mozzarella was thicker than I’ve had and the inside was more watery than I would have liked.
Pizza was very good. A little too thin for me. Mozzarella terrific. Very disappointed they only served wine no mixed drinks.
The food and service were great but the noise level will most likely keep me from going back or even recommending. It was so loud that my table couldn't hear each other.
It is a cafe style setting with Michigan Ave. prices. A couple of pizzas and a salad with tip will set you back $60+ (no drinks). I agreed that they have a OK selection of beers and wines for a cafe and the staffs are definitely friendly and attentive. Service was very fast, the pizzas were done before the Carprese. The ingredients are fresh for sure, and the pizza dough is indeed the best at least for me because it is chewy. It is not easy to find Neapolitan style pizza (thin crust) that is not on the harder and dry side. But personally I think the pizzas are missing some flavors, I felt like eating a pizza salad with no dressing but that might be good for some people. By no means I am one of those pizza dough dip in ranch typecof guy, but I think the pizza sauce needs a little more depth. Comparatively speaking my recent visit to Pizzeria Portofino was quite different. I will have to find a reason to come back here.
This pizza is good, but you're really here for the view. My biggest grip: the $20 Mediterranean salad. They give you salad that is layered and not mixed and they place it in a small bowl. It isn't fun mixing it and having salad spill during the process. This was likely done for Instagramers, but I'm unsure if people post pictures of *salads* on Instagram and if they did, are they really your customer? I didn't get an olive in my *Mediterranean* salad until the very end because, you know, I have a small bowl with an unmixed salad. Mix the salad for your customers. There is no reason to do this because it makes no sense.
