Las Fuentes Chicago

If you are looking for a cheap quick taco then this place isn't for you. Las Fuentes is a mid priced sit down dining restaurant. I have been coming here since 1988 and it never disappoints. If the weather is nice the patio is amazing. I highly recommend planning time for dinner. They don't rush you and if you are in a huffy this place is not for you.

Had 6:15 reservations for an early dinner. Got seated in front room right away. Food is solid-got 1 taco bowl and 1 burrito dinner. (nice portion sizes! . My friend had a skinny maragarita (pretty tasty! and a rose. I had 3 negra modelos. We finally ordered and the food took a long time...around 35-40 min. The back room was getting really busy and I think the servers were pretty slammed. (at least they kept us hydrated! lol Had to ask a few people to find the waiter for the check...maybe he had tables in the back? IDK. All in all, it was still great and we will go back! ps-It was cold in the front room every time the door opened (wore my jacket for 90% of dinner —so, next time we will try the back room for better atmosphere/more lively—or patio once it’s warmer!

Food was lack luster. The service was horrible. Never brought silverware, forgot plates for our appetizers. Apparently quesso funding is supposed to be eaten pick nick style.

It’s a huge restaurant and no one was there, which is fine, but for the price $100 for two) the experience felt like a casual diner. The chips were not fresh and came out in a paper bag. The drinks were made with juice and were majority ice.

Great waitress and the manager gave us a free shot! Definitely will dine again.
