Bidrage med feedbackWe went in February 19th, so hopefully some things have changed.Honestly, the ramen here was very underwhelming. Compared to the other spots that we've been to, it was fairly below average. The staff helped you out and the atmosphere was nice. But the food itself was just very...bland.I'd like to give this place a 2nd chance if I get the opportunity, but I'm not too sure
Very very yummy! I got to customize my own ramen and had the brown sugar creme brulee boba?Vegetarian options: They have ramen specially made for vegans but you can make your ramen with vegan options
Quite possibly the smallest ramen portion I’ve ever seen by chicago and Japanese standards, it’s about 2/3 the size of an average ramen bowl. Two entree and two boba came out to be over $50 after fees and tips, which is not worth it in our opinion for what you are getting. We tried the sukiyaki ramen and sukiyaki don. The ramen broth is tasty, though there is a hint of msg which is really not necessary. The sukiyaki don has a tiny amount of beef on top of rice, and half an egg, which is not at all worth the $15 price tag. The only thing we were impressed with was the ramen egg, which was perfectly soft and seasoned.Onto the Oolong boba, which tasted powdery and watered down; however the boba was soft and chewy.Despite of the dissatisfaction with the food, we received prompt service from the waiter who was very friendly; the bathroom was also spotless. Our biggest gripe with the place was the portion, which we think is something that can be easily improved upon. Until something is changed, we will not be back.
My fiancée and I came in a little late and forgot to check the time they close (oops! so we were fully ready to leave or order takeout. Luke was SO nice and insisted we dine in. A service and A ramen. Absolutely will be back (at an appropriate time !Food: 5/5
I recently visited Tanaka Ramen and had an amazing experience! The restaurant is cozy and inviting, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The menu had a great variety of options, and everything we ordered was delicious. The ramen was especially noteworthy the broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. I also appreciated that the restaurant offered vegetarian and gluten free options. Overall, I highly recommend Tanaka Ramen to anyone looking for an authentic and satisfying Japanese dining experience. I can't wait to come back!
