Herbivore - Chicago

We recently saw this place on a drive through Bridgeport and based on the reviews, knew we would have to check it out. Tonight was the night! After hearing the owner plug the Big Max to another guest in front of us, we had to try it. OMG. This is the best vegan burger I've ever had! The Single Burger and the Save the Animal Style Fries are just as amazing. Max, the owner, is soooo sweet and helpful and takes pride in his business! Definitely will be regulars at this spot- they have a great patio in the back as well. Thanks Max and team!

They use soy , impossible beyond meat real vegan/ alkaline consumers know that's not real healthy vegan

My husband and I were lucky to have the chance to eat at Herbivore while we were in town for a trade show. We got our food to go and it was so delicious!! Online ordering stops at 8p but the restaurant will still take orders over the phone after 8. We got the Big Max, Pizza Puf, Wedge Salad, and Fried Oreos. We loved everything! The Big Max was one of the best burgers we’ve ever had. The fried outer dough for the Pizza Puf was so crispy and yummy, we enjoyed the filling with it. The Wedge Salad was a big portion with the best dressing, blue chz and bacon bits! And the fried Oreos were fried perfectly golden brown. I’ve been vegan for almost a year and this food is everything I dream of: It is clear this place puts a lot of love into their food and I look forward to the next time I come back.

My brother and stopped in last week and I’m glad we did! We got the Big Max burger which was DELICIOUS, the chopped cheese, also DELICIOUS and the loaded fries which were pretty good. We did try the Pizza Puf since it’s a popular item, but it was a NO for us!! It lacked flavor and the filling did not wow me. The fried Oreos were great though! The service was good too!! And they have some nice outdoor seating in the back!

They 're always trying something wildly creative here. Last time I was there, I got their shrimp and it blew me away. I was not expecting it to match the texture as well as it did! I 've truly never tried a vegan meat alternative like that ever before. I can 't wait to see what they come up with next. You can taste that everything is made from scratch and with lots of attention to the little details. It 's worth a trip!
