El Asadero Colombiano - Chicago

We dined in and ordered the grilled flank steak in creole sauce, arroz con pollo, empanadas and arepas. The food was amazing and had an authentic homecooked taste. We loved the flavors and I was expecting the flank steak to have a little spice because it said creole but it was still covered in a delicious red sauce, just not spicy. The empanadas tasted like fried perogies and the arepas were slightly sweet, but it didnt have pull apart cheese i was expecting like it shows

The chicken has always been on point. It is absolutely delicious. Today I tried the carne asada lunch special. Very disappointing. I believe it was sandwich steak that I was served. There wasn't much of it either. Most of the lunch? consisted of rice. From now on, I will stick with the chicken.

I've visited El Asadero Colombiano several times. In my opinion, they have the best chicken in Chicago. It is roasted over a live flame, not gas either. It has a delicious, smoky flavor. I'm not sure how they manage it, but the chicken is almost better cold the next day. Absolutely fantastic. I tell everybody to go here.

Food is good, Always get their chicken. They do charge extra 4% if you pay with card and they have some special tax added even when you pay cash. Not sure what it?s for but it?s added on to the consumer.

It was our first time at El Asadero Colombiano and it definitely won't be our last The Food was delicious!! My Mom and I really liked the atmosphere and it's a family style restaurant! Sebastian, Zoyla, Nahara, and Sergio treated us like Family!! Great Food and Great Customer Service!! We started out with The Chicken Giblet Soup and we loved it!! We shared a simple dinner salad and we had The Whole Colombian Style Rotisserie Chicken with Rice and Beans and Sweet Plantains!!
