Clever Rabbit - Chicago

Clever Rabbit was amazing. They were so helpful in accommodating a large group on a weekend night and it was so appreciated. We did several different appetizers and everything was outstanding. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. Clean and well kept. The drinks were also great and I thought it was reasonably priced.

Inventive menu, really great for sharing, nice atmosphere, and attentive service staff. Would visit here again in a heartbeat.

Food and cocktails were incredible. Chef sent over an extra dish on the house because there was a delay with our order. Great service, great flavors; highly recommended.

Burger with potatoes was quite good, as were the mushrooms. The plates came out quite slowly and we're spread out quite a bit, so some people were done eating before others were even served. Should have just gotten plates to pass instead of individual plates.

If you have food allergies, Clever Rabbit is the gold standard of how a restaurant can use minimal nuts and still provide a confidence inspiring dining experience. Our server Ryan (ask for him, he's the best! was already knowledgeable about the full menu, and was supremely confident in the restaurant's ability to provide allergy safe meals. They use minimal nuts on the menu, and the few dishes that use nuts had a dedicated prep. Only 3 of the 12+ dishes contained nuts of any kind, with one of those only using pine nuts. They rotated the menu often, but the staff is very informed on changes, ingredients and prep. Our allergies are PN/TN but they really can accommodate any allergies and can make substitutions or omissions. The best part? 7/7 of the dishes we ordered were 10/10 delicious. They are also super kid friendly, with an awesome kids menu. One of the hosts even brought our little man an etch-a-sketch to play with! Like Split Rail, this is one of those allergy gems in Chicago.
