Bellwether - Chicago

All good, nice atmosphere, good food, attention is just about right.

We had the pre-theater dinner special, as we had tickets to the Goodman Theater. There was a nice crowd in the restaurant, busy but comfortable. The food was tasty, filling, and a great bargain for the quality.

Well we had a reservation and they tried sitting us upstairs against the wall and it was so HOT so we asked and they re set us downstairs . The portions were very small, I had the sea bass 38.00 with risotto and it had two bones in it . It was cooked properly but very small portion . My sister had the lobster Mac and cheese and said it was good but wouldn’t order it again and my mom had the lobster ravioli and said it was delicious . She got 6 on her plate for 17.00 and she would get it again

Solid choice for type of foodie. Shrimp and Cod tacos were very solid choices. The Charred Brussels were amazing!!

Dinner was ok, but the server wasn’t the most helpful. He didn’t have much to say re: the menu. No help at all, luckily we made great decisions independently. We wasn’t aware of a gratuity charge for 2 people dining, so that was a surprise. Love the atmosphere though!
