Wfm Coffee - Chevy Chase

I was staying at a hotel nearby and picked up breakfast stuff from this market. It was a bit busy, but accessible by foot. It has everything you expect, and was a convenient location.

Huge thank you to Peter A. for going above and beyond to help resolve a delivery issue. No one dreams of working (or shopping) at a grocery store the day before Thanksgiving during a pandemic- he had the harder role and was incredibly helpful. Happy to be loyal to a store that can keep such great people on staff.

Three great employees, one rude. I grabbed a few things with a basket bc I have my 14 month old with me in her stroller (WITH MASK ON). First employee was helpful in helping me find child face masks. The organic cotton masks from WF are the only ones my 3 yr old likes for school. They are no longer stocking them. Sad but ok. I get in line at a check out station with the light on. Nobody at the station. I walk over to #16, cashier says You need to stand back. I 'm cleaning. I said ok and waited for her to finish. She wipes up the conveyor belt she just sprayed. Then when I 'm about to put the basket on the belt, she comes around and sprays the belt again from the other side. And tells me I 'm not done yet. You need to get back! Actually raises her voice at me. Not aware you need to clean the same thing twice and act like I 'm the problem when I 've been waiting here for 5 min with a child and 7 items to buy. Then turn your light off!! I asked then should I go elsewhere. She said yea, if you want. I ended up going to the other side and everyone else was polite and ready to go. Unbelievable. This is around 9am with very few people in the store. I 'm too old to take these micro-aggressions from people.

This store has been mostly fine for me in the past. Today I went and left as quickly as I could. Employees don’t get out of the way for customers. Customers don’t get out of the way for each other. In other stores there are marked pathways to keep people from crowding each other, no such thing here. Considering this store has a high number of elder shoppers I was surprised by the lack of professionalism.

They don't seem to be taking any precautions to protect customers from COVID other than small glass shields for their cashiers. There's no one at the door counting the number of people coming in or making sure people are masked, there's no one sanitizing carts and baskets, and it was wildly crowded in there. Does not feel safe.
